Charleston, SC Historical Renovation and Interior Design
Built in the 1880’s, 179 Rutledge Avenue is our latest historical renovation project. Margaret Donaldson Interiors is teaming up with Joe Schmidt of Evans and Schmidt Architects to transform Ashley Hall’s newest real estate acquisition into a space for small, intimate classes, round table discussions and school events/entertaining. Just wrapping up another great week of Charleston, SC interior design. Here are some of the highlights.
Daniel Island, SC Coastal Living Showhouse
Margaret Donaldson Interiors was delighted to attend an event on August 29 at the Coastal Living Showhouse on Daniel Island, SC. We enjoyed an evening of celebrating another interior design nod to the Charleston design community as we toasted our locals, Ginger Brewton and Circa Lighting along with some of our favorite vendor sponsors such as Sunbrella and Marvin Windows and Doors.
Around Our Interior Design Studio At 1557 Meeting Street- Charleston, SC
MDI’s interior design studio happily resides at 1557 Meeting Street in Charleston, SC. From the outside, the building appears pretty standard issue with a little bit of a modern flair. But on the inside, that’s where the real interior design work happens. Here are some snapshots of the goings on this week.
Bedroom Furniture- Beds
Bedroom furniture is not what it used to be. The image above is a perfect example! Gone are the days of the matching suite that included bed, bedside tables and dresser. Interior designers now bring the high style and blending of furniture to the bedroom. To get you thinking outside the traditional 4 walled bedroom, take a look at these beds. They are about as far from boring bedroom furniture as you can get!
FGI’s August Member’s Only Event At Margaret Donaldson Interiors-Charleston, SC
Margaret Donaldson Interiors was excited to host FGI Charleston‘s August member’s only event. With such a clever catchphrase as “Stylishly Sophisticated,” the evening was sure to be a success. Last Round of Charleston Interior Design in Atlanta!
Here we go! Final round of Atlanta finds. Charleston Interior Design is as global as a plane ride or a car trip or the internet for that matter. While we love and cherish our local resources, we strive for an awareness of all that is out there. This philosophy allows us to bring truly the best and most unique selections into the MDI studio and then into our clients’ homes. A lot of what we enjoyed were creative takes on wall decor.
